Hi, I’m Courtney. Welcome to Bodyfit!
My entire life, I have had a passion for moving my body, whether that was dancing ballet as a child, teaching gymnastics as a teen, or performing as an NFL cheerleader as an adult. When my husband and I started moving frequently for his job, and my stress level increased, my health and fitness got shoved to the backburner. Then, after I had my two children, I was not prioritizing self care at all, while also feeling like an exhausted stranger in my own body.
I was fed up with feeling exhausted, grumpy, anxious, and physically weak. Over this past year, I have not only lost weight, but I have gained strength, confidence, purpose, and peace. Forget about my “pre-baby body”! I respect this body for how far it has taken me, knowing the only way to move is forward. I have taken it to new heights and I am now stronger than I have ever been! I have dabbled in long distance running, HIIT, dance fitness, and Pilates, but strength training has by far been the most transformational for me, and I am not only excited, but experienced and capable to take you to new heights, as well!
